It is my honor to invite you to Gannon University's 43rd Annual Gannon Writing Awards VIRTUAL event on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 6:30 P.M.
Students will be recognized for their accomplishments in research writing, journalism, and poetry. We will also recognize winners of our national high school poetry contest. Erie-based poets will be honored with the Berwyn Moore Young Erie Poet Award.
Please attend this important multi-disciplinary event in support of our students and help us celebrate their diverse academic and artistic achievements in writing. The 2020 issue of Totem, Gannon's award-winning literary-art magazine, containing the work of students and faculty from all disciplines, will also be officially released.
Allison Joseph is the author of six poetry books and winner of several awards including Independent Press Award, John C. Zacharis First Book Award, Aquarius Press Legacy Award, Literary Award from the Illinois Arts Council, and several fellowships. Joseph teaches at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
