Gannon University is bringing its annual Homecoming & Family Weekend to homes during a series of virtual and livestreamed events starting today through Sunday, Oct. 4. This year, more than 460 Gannon and Villa Maria College alumni and Gannon family and friends from across the world will join in the weekend festivities, representing one of the largest participation numbers in its history.

Themed “Homecoming at Home,” the event continues the traditional activities of both Homecoming & Family Weekend to reconnect old friends and classmates, as well as current students and their families, using a special, first-ever virtual platform.

Allison Mosier, associate director of Alumni Engagement at Gannon, said the weekend will offer something for everyone with a variety of interactive, online events.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to engage with alumni from all over the world this year,” Mosier said. “We have alumni across the nation and in over 64 countries who typically wouldn’t be able to make it back to Erie for the weekend. By bringing Homecoming to them, we’re able to share all the great things happening at Gannon and reconnect everyone with their Gannon family.”

New and exciting events include trivia and bingo, a round table discussion with the President’s Leadership Team, coffee break sessions with some favorite professors, as well as the traditional Gannon family and friends Mass.

Other signature events include:

Villa Maria Distinguished Nursing Lecture Series
