Join Gannon University in observance of Juneteenth on June 19, 2020 at 3pm on Facebook Live

Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating June Nineteenth, the day which effectively marked the end of slavery in the United States. 

Dr. Jeffrey Bloodworth, Director of the School of Public Service & Global Affairs, provides a brief history lesson on the Emancipation Proclamation and history of Juneteenth.

Dr. Parris Baker '92, Assistant Professor of the Social Work program and Director of the Mortuary Science program will lead the conversation around social injustice and how we can help in the fight to end racism.

Special guests include: University President, Dr. Keith Taylor, Board of Trustee, Candace Battles '93 and Erie Rise Leadership Academy’s Homer Smith '76.
