Cisero and Webb Named to All-PSAC Western Division Second Team

DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) and Frank Webb Jr. (Baltimore, Md./Our Lady of Mount Carmel) have been named to the All-PSAC Western Division Second Team, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.

Cisero earned All-PSAC Second Team honors for the first time in his career after leading the Golden Knights this season on both ends of the floor netting a team-high 14.1 points and team-best 5.6 rebounds per game. Cisero reached double figures in scoring a team-high 20 times and closed the season producing double digits in his last six straight games. He also recorded two double-doubles this season.

Cisero's season was highlighted by a streak of 10 straight games reaching double figures in scoring from Dec. 20 to Jan. 29, which included a double-double with a career-high 27 points and season-high 11 rebounds against Edinboro on Jan. 3. He also paced Gannon at the free throw line shooting 85.2 percent, which slotted him fifth in the PSAC. Cisero was tabbed PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week on Dec. 2 and also garnered PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors on Jan. 7.

Webb also picked up All-PSAC Second Team honors for the first time in his career after averaging 13.1 points and a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game. Webb tallied a team-high five 20-point games this season and reached double figures in scoring 17 times to go along with two double-doubles. Webb netted a career-high 27 points against Pitt-Johnstown on Jan. 6.

Webb also made impact on the defensive end of the floor and pulled down a career-high 145 total rebounds, including 112 defensive. He helped lead a Gannon defense that ranked third in the PSAC limiting its opponents to 67.9 points per contest. Webb finished the season positioned second in the PSAC in steals per game with 2.1. He generated at least three steals in nine games this season, including a career-best seven steals at Indiana on Feb. 15. The performance marked the most steals by a Gannon player since the 2011-12 season. Webb was named PSAC West Athlete of the Week on Dec. 2. and picked up PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week honors twice.

Gannon finished the 2019-20 season making its ninth appearance in the PSAC Tournament and posted a 14-13 (13-9 PSAC) overall record.
