Gannon University's SBDC will host its 13th Annual Women in Leadership Development Conference

The Gannon University Small Business Development Center is hosting the 13th Annual Women In Leadership Development Conference on Thursday, April 23, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center. Registration is $75 which includes breakfast and lunch. This year’s theme is 2020 Vision.

Celebrating its 13th anniversary, WILD is a national conference expected to draw several hundred women for a day of inspiration, motivation, networking and professional development. There will be breakout sessions consisting of workshops, seminars and panel discussions in three tracks – Entrepreneurship, Rising Leaders, and Executive Leadership – including:

  • Government Contracting, Entrepreneur Track: Marissa Fentzel, SBA Pittsburgh District Office and Robin Young CCP, Government Contracting Manager/Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Northwest Commission
  • Are You Truly Leading…or Just Managing?, Executive Leadership Track: Tom Benson, Business Consultant, SBDC
  • Messages to My Younger Self, Rising Leaders Track: Maggie Horne, Kathy Lima, Diane Gardner, and Susan Traverso

This year’s Legacy Award recipient is Kathleen Lima. For nearly 14 years, Kathy owned Faro Enterprises providing marketing, public/media relations, fundraising consulting, training, and services, meeting facilitation and communications services. Throughout her successful entrepreneurial career, she was and continues to be a fierce advocate for the causes of women’s equality.
