Join #IEW2019 to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
Gannon University will join in a week-long global celebration of International Education Week with an exciting series of events on Nov. 18 - 23.
International Education Week is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education that celebrates international education and exchange programs that prepare American students to become global citizens and attracts international students to study in the United States.
During the week Gannon students can stop by an Engagement Zone that will be located in the Piano Lounge of the Waldron Campus Center, 124 W. Seventh St. Students will learn about Possibilities Abroad, global and cultural student organizations on campus, post-graduate service opportunities, acquiring a passport, and more.
Students can also attend campus-wide faculty presentations throughout the week. Students will discover the shared international stories and experiences of these faculty members through featured presentations, workshops and panel discussions focused on an array of global topics.
There will be additional opportunities throughout the week for students to hear from returned Peace Corps volunteers, engage in meaningful dialogue across cultures, and experience student photography, cultural dances, delicious food, and much more.
