Center for Business Ingenuity
Downtown Erie is welcoming a new addition to its vibrant core. The
husband and wife duo, John and Shelly Schening, are proud to celebrate the grand opening of
Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures located at 25 W. Ninth St. on November 15. The celebration
will begin with a ribbon cutting with the Gannon University Small Business Development
Center at 2 p.m. As an artist and community supporter, Shelly Schening was always looking
for ways to give back and the launch of Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures is the result. Specializing
in handmade, high quality art, de´cor, and apparel, the store showcases artists within the Erie
community. However, selling art is just one side of Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures. Shelly stated,
“The goal of the business is to provide a safe place for individuals suffering from depression
and other higher functioning mental illness to socialize with others and work on crafts.”
John and Shelly invite you to stop by their grand opening and see how combining
artistic passion with caring for all makes Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures a place to shop in Erie.
