Gannon University is welcoming 65 local and national employers from across a variety of industries to the annual Career Fair to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19 in Gannon’s I-HACK building.

All students, majors and colleges are invited to participate and network with industry employers. There will also be an opportunity for students to receive free headshots, interview on-campus the day of or day following with employers, and practice engaging with companies within their field.

As students are required to dress professionally, Gannon’s Office of Career Exploration and Development will be offering Career Closet appointments, from which students can obtain gently used professional clothing free of charge. A portable Career Closet will also be available at the fair with a variety of blazers and suit jackets for men and women.

Students are encouraged to attend in-person and virtual career fair prep sessions in which they can learn the basics of resume development, dos and don’ts of professional wear and how to establish an elevator pitch.

“The Career Exploration and Development team is so excited to host our Career Fair in I-HACK for the second year in a row,” said Alyson Eagle, assistant director of employer relations at Gannon. “The Career Fair provides an on-campus opportunity for students to engage and network with employers which they would not get outside of interviews or job opportunities. This is a great place for students to practice delivering their elevator pitch, refine their interpersonal relationship skills with employers, and build a professional network prior to graduating.”
