Auditions: The Tempest by Gannon's Schuster Theatre

Auditions for the 18th annual Shakespeare Summer Nights production of The Tempest by Gannon University's Schuster Theatre will be held June 1 and 2, directed by Petra Shearer and presented at the Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park.

This production has been adapted and directed by Schuster Theatre alumna and friend to Shakespeare Summer Nights, Petra Shearer. Ms. Shearer has been studying at the Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Virginia, and we are thrilled to welcome her back to share her knowledge and talents this summer. One of Shakespeare's last plays, The Tempest is a tale full of shipwrecks, new love, old enemies, spirits, magic, and mischief. 

The production will run July 25, 26 & 27.

Audition notes: this audition does not require you to be memorized, but please come with a prepared Shakespearian monologue with which you are familiar. This production will be double casting some roles and no roles have been pre-cast. We look forward to working with actors of all abilities, genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, however, we are only working with those 18+ at this time.
