Gannon University is continuing its tradition of Day of Caring with about 300 Gannon students, faculty and staff expected to answer the call for service at more than 20 locations on Saturday, April 17.

This initiative will focus on neighborhoods adjacent to campus, including areas that are part of Erie-Gannon Alliances to Improve Neighborhood Sustainability, or Erie-GAINS, neighborhoods as well as the Our West Bayfront initiative organized and funded in part by Gannon University.

Among the notable projects are:

Gridley Park:

Volunteers will visit various locations in Gridley Park to mulch, plant flowers, pick up yard debris and litter, paint benches, rake leaves and distribute flyers.

Media opportunities are available from 11:30 to noon on April 17 at Gridley Park. To schedule, contact Haley Figurski, media relations and marketing manager, at 814-823-1886.
