Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Student Forum
Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, Gannon University
The whole Gannon family continues to grieve with the death of one of our students on the Erie campus. We stay close to each other in friendship, faith and encouragement. We also bring forward our struggles, concerns and hopes as we commit to a culture of healing in our community.
In our movement forward together, we want to continue our conversations that have been taking place to call us as a university family to a culture of justice and inclusion. Your voice matters and we want to hear it. We invite you to join us for a student forum hosted by the University’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Steering Committee and the Provost Office’s on Tuesday, March 23 at 5PM. The Steering Committee co-chairs, Dr. Lori Lindley and Becky Perry, will share updates on behalf of the Steering Committee and Student Advisory Committee, including proposed action areas and priorities for the 2021 calendar year. Dr. Sarah Ewing, Dean of the Morosky College will be present to facilitate the discussion in Ruskin. Dr. Walter Iwanenko will also share updates from the fall student forum. Then, the forum will be opened up for student Q&A.
The event will be hosted in person on our Erie campus (in the Hammermill Center) and Ruskin campus (Distanced Education Classroom). In addition, students and colleagues will also be able to register to attend via Zoom. We encourage students to submit questions in advance here: http://bit.ly/2Nvdsij (questions can be submitted anonymously).
