
- Students will learn from Gannon’s expert accounting faculty, who are affiliated and actively involved with professional accounting organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the American Accounting Association (AAA).
- Gannon’s accounting students participate in a variety of hands-on, service-learning experiences such as the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
- The Dahlkemper School of Business was the first business school in northwestern Pennsylvania with both undergraduate and graduate programs to receive global accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- The Dahlkemper School of Business delivers a values-centered business curriculum that provides students with advanced business knowledge through the development of critical-thinking skills, effective communication skills, ethics-based decision making, comprehension of global business concepts, leadership and team-building skills, and the desire to become a lifelong learner.

Accounting is a promising and highly rewarding career. Demand for qualified accountants trained in preparing financial documentation is expected to increase in response to the escalating data-driven decision-making and financial regulations in organizations of all types. Accounting students will gain analytical skills, develop an understanding of business processes, strengthen their ability to communicate effectively and become aware of the importance of the ethical and social responsibilities of accounting.

You Will Experience
Students will experience an innovative education in the Center for Business Ingenuity, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and global software. Students will receive hands-on opportunities through internships and service-learning projects with local and national businesses, as well as through the unique collaboration between Gannon University’s Dahlkemper School of Business, Small Business Development Center and Erie Technology Incubator.

You Will Study
Students obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) are able to choose from 13 concentrations to prepare for a career in the field of their choice. Students also have the opportunity to complete the Master of Business Administration with one additional year of study through the five-year MBA program.
