During the last several years, the focus of my scholarly line of inquiry has been in fear of falling. These investigations have been with patients with vestibular dysfunction, individuals with post polio syndrome, and community dwelling older adults. Currently, I am engaged in a qualitative study with community dwelling older adults with fear of falling, and identifying the physical, functional, and emotional factors that contribute to their fear. These data have contributed to the development of the Fear of Falling Questionnaire.

An additional interest and area of research is the role of annual PT examinations in PT practice. Survey development is underway.
