Science in motion is
a consortium in Pennsylvania consisting of 11 institutions of higher education.
It is supported through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Each of these sites uses their portion of the grant to provide science enhanced
learning to area schools. This is accomplished through access to state of the
art science equipment, mobile education, and teacher workshops.
Science in motion,
is an educational outreach program that is designed to meet three goals in the
challenge to enhance science education at the
pre-college level:
professional development
opportunities for science teachers
school year and summer teacher
workshops
training on science equipment and
introduction to
accompanying experiments
access to high quality resources
multiple units of equipment
delivered by a van –
accompanied by a mobile educator or as a loan
equipment housed and maintained at
Gannon University
lab exercises developed and
prepared at Gannon University
