Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
Over the last six years, Gannon University has helped at least 60% (91 out of 152) of our students gain acceptance to medical school. Last year (2010-2011), 100% of students (9 out of 9) who had competitive Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores were accepted. This is noteworthy when these acceptance rates are compared to the national acceptance rate for osteopathic (38%) or allopathic medical schools (44%) for 2009-2010. In order to gain acceptance to LECOM through this program students must meet all entrance requirements upon application. In addition, students are not eligible to apply to any other medical schools while enrolled in this early acceptance program.
