Mission Statement

The Gannon University Honors Program provides a challenging educational experience for academically talented and highly motivated students. In doing so, it serves as a catalyst for the intellectual and cultural life of the University. Honors courses emphasize critical thinking, collaborative learning, and the development of communication skills in an interactive and student-centered teaching and learning environment. Underlying all the activities of the honors program, inside and outside the classroom, is the goal of building a sense of community among the students and faculty in the program, a community characterized by the love of learning and the love of learners.
