The Classroom Experience and much more

Take Gannon's low student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1, combine it with our urban setting that affords many opportunities for internships and hands-on training, add in our Core of Discovery that is the foundation of all our academic programs, and you'll experience Gannon's academic quality at its best.

Our goal is to provide you the opportunity to learn about humanity, society, and yourself in addition to teaching you the skills to be successful in the career you choose. The 'Core of Discovery' is a selection of 39 credits of liberal studies classes designed to prepare you for the life you will lead and the world in which you live it. We like to think of the Core as an adventure of discovery which invites you to talk, listen, and be listened to. From courses in government and writing to those dealing with environmental issues and varying cultures, the Core is an important part of your education.

Equally significant is the opportunity to enhance your education with internships and experiential education opportunities. We invite you to participate in the many opportunities to gain practical experience in your career field - from shadowing a local employer to completing field work and practicums.
