Resident Campus Ministers

The Residence Hall/Apartment Campus Ministers are an important part of the University’s housing and Campus Ministry programs. The ministers are resource people for students of all religious traditions and lend support and strength to the programs and activities of the residence halls and apartments. Some of their responsibilities are:

To initiate and implement religious activities, such as the celebration of liturgies, Reconcialition, and community prayer

To be available to the students in time of personal crisis or hospitalization to counsel and assist individual students in personal, academic, spiritual and social matters. (The ministers keep no records, nor do they make reports. Students must be able to have total confidentiality in such matters.)

To assist in the design and implementation of programs which will benefit the intellectual, moral, and spiritual development of students in the residence halls and apartments.

To encourage, within the residence halls and apartments, participation in Campus Ministry programs

To be available to the Student Living staff members for advice and assistance in solving problems which they encounter, and to assist in the selection and training of new staff members.
