ILL
ILL (interlibrary loan) is a service offered to Gannon University students, faculty, and staff by which materials, not owned by the Library, are obtained
from other libraries. There are no fees involved for placing an ILL request. However, there will be overdue fines and/or replacement fees charged if
ILL material is overdue, damaged or lost. Gannon offers two ILL services: ILLiad and EZBorrow.
ILLiad
Generally takes between 3 - 14 days for materials to come in. You will be contacted via e-mail when they arrive. Books will have a loan period of anywhere
from two weeks to one month; they should be checked out and returned to the Service Desk (no textbooks). Articles are yours to keep.
ILLiad allows us to deliver many journal articles to you via the Internet - you don't have to come to the library or wait for campus mail delivery. Expect
electronic articles to be available on your virtual desktop a few days sooner than a paper photocopy would arrive on your real desktop. We can deliver
electronically as long as the lending library sends the article to us electronically (this is becoming increasingly common).

EZBorrow
EZBorrow does the same thing as ILLiad, but only for books (articles cannot be requested). Check-outs are for 10 weeks without renewal. NEW: patrons must now
enter their Gannon ID numbers (on front of ID card) instead of their library barcodes. When entering your ID number, do not enter the first '0' or the last
two numbers at the end. You only need to enter the 7 digits in between. For example: If the number on the front of your ID card is 0874563201 you would enter
8745632 to login to EZBorrow.
