ANNOUNCEMENTS
APA
The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th ed., first printing has a number of errors in it. APA refuses to replace flawed copies
of the 6th ed. and recommends that users either purchase another copy (2nd printing) or go to the website that has the corrections listed:
http://supp.apa.org/style/pubman-reprint-corrections-for-2e.pdf
The Nash Library owns a copy of the first printing (REF BF76.7 .P83 2010) but suggests students not use the edition without checking the online corrections
as well. A paper copy of the corrections is available for reading at the Service Desk. A copy of the second printing will be ordered as soon as we can
ascertain that the vendor we purchase from is offering the corrected version.
According to Education Services News, an occasional newsletter of the Education Services Department of the Congressman Frank J. Guarini Library, you can see
what printing the book is in by the following: For the first printing, the last line on the bottom reads: Sixth Edition, First Printing.
However, on the 2nd printing, towards the top of the page, the next line below the Copyright paragraph is the line: Second printing: August 2009 and the last
line only states: Sixth Edition
