ELIGIBILITY :
Students who are currently enrolled and alumni are eligible to use the Employment and Graduate School Search Lab.

SERVICES :
Eligible individuals can have limited access to the following job search tools:

Phone - Make local and long distance calls to potential employers.   All calls must be recorded on log sheets.
Fax
– Send faxes to employers.   Some limitations apply; all faxes must be recorded on log sheets.   EMAILS ARE ENCOURAGED.
Computer/Printing/Email
– Use computer to access, print, and email employment information on the Internet.   Use word processing to create resume and cover letters.   Student/alumnus must provide own resume/cover letter paper, envelopes, and other supplies.
Employment Coordinator and Office Staff
– Available to provide guidance and answer questions on a limited basis.
Career Staff
– Available by appointment or for brief consultation between appointments.

LIMITATIONS :
After an appointment with a counselor, an individual’s use of the Employment and Graduate School Search Lab is limited in the following manner:

  1. Phone use is limited to five (5) long distance calls every two (2) weeks.   Phone session must be scheduled in advance.

  2.   Fax use is limited to five (5) faxes per week.   Fax will be reviewed and sent by CDES staff within 24 hours of receipt.   Student/alumnus is responsible for providing correct fax number.

  3.   Computer time must be scheduled in advance.

  4. Printing is limited to 25 (career, employment, or internet) pages per session.   Printing must be coordinated with office staff.

  5. Use of Lab cannot interfere with the normal functioning of office.

  6. Computer usage is not to exceed 90 minutes per session.

FEES :
There is no fee for phone, fax, computer, or printer services accessed at or below the limitations stated above.   If additional services are needed, a fee of   $10 per week (cash only) will be collected prior to use of service.   There is no fee for career counseling appointments.
