GED INSTRUCTOR needed to conduct classes to prepare
students to pass GED testing and monitor students’ progress and
attendance. Bachelor Degree in Education or related field required; PA

TEACHERS (All Majors Welcome!). The Volunteer
Teaching Corps, a part of the Inner-City Teaching Corps, is a two-year,
post-grad service program training outstanding recent college graduates
to be full-time teachers in inner-city Chicago parochial schools. All
majors are eligible to apply for both elementary and high school
positions. Volunteers live in co-ed, faith-based communities of 7-10 in
residences on Chicago's South and West sides. This is an excellent
opportunity to begin a career in education, or to give back to the
community before going on to graduate school or another professional
field. Benefits include: housing, meals, health and dental insurance,
transportation, $150 monthly stipend for personal use, Illinois
alternative teacher certification, 22 graduate credits toward a Masters
in Education at Northwestern University, on-going professional support
and training, loan deferment and/or partial cancellation, and AmeriCorps
education awards. Must have an undergraduate G.P.A. of at least 3.0 and
