The formal study of risk management is fairly new to colleges and universities, and not many institutions offer this major.  Gannon is proud of the risk management program and the fact that all of the students in the first graduating class in May of 2001 were employed within the field shortly after graduation. 

Risk management graduates and experts are continually in demand.  Recent lawsuits have affected major industries in dramatic ways and have demonstrated the need for businesses to pay careful attention to areas of potential liability.  Additionally, in most industries today, there is a need to manage finances and operations in various locations around the world.  This increase in global operations is accompanied by an increase in risk which is a result of many factors such as political and economic conditions in various countries.

Our faculty members are experienced in the profession as well as outstanding in the classroom.  This will enable us to enhance your risk management education by adding real world examples and presenting real world cases in the classroom.
