Preparing Servant Leaders for Today and the 21st Century
Welcome to the Dahlkemper School of Business Administration and to the Master of Public Administration program.
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Gannon University is the advanced degree of choice for those individuals interested in developing leadership and administrative decision-making skills for organizations in the public and non-profit sectors. The MPA Program at Gannon blends a contemporary curriculum in management and political science with the flexibility necessary to meet the changing needs of public and non-profit organizations today and throughout the 21st Century.
The goal of the MPA Program at Gannon University is to develop public administration leaders with a passion to improving the effectiveness of managing the public’s business and to improving the lives of people throughout the world.
Our location, which is central to city, county, state and federal government and service organizations, makes Gannon University a virtual public administration laboratory. Our urban location allows for continuous interaction between public administration leaders and our students and faculty. Many graduates of our MPA program hold top positions in federal, state, and local agencies and private sector organizations in the Erie area, across the United States and throughout the world.
Gannon University’s MPA program includes a multidisciplinary core curriculum supplemented by elective coursework in one of several career tracks, including professional administration, organizational leadership, pastoral leadership, and an option to develop an individualized track in consultation with their MPA faculty advisor. In addition, we offer a specialized Five-Year Bachelor’s Degree and MPA Degree, a combined MPA Degree and MBA Degree, and graduate certificates in a number of disciplines
Again, welcome to the Master of Public Administration program and please join us as we explore new perspectives on public and non-profit administration and prepare servant leaders for today and the 21st Century.
Sincerely,
Duane R. Prokop, Ph.D
David Kozak, Ph.D.
