Retention Committee

Students leave school before completing their degree for many reasons -- personal, financial, and academic. And while some of these reasons are beyond Gannon University's control, the Retention Committee is responsible for ensuring that the University does everything possible to help students complete their degree.

Not only does the Committee look at the reasons why students leave, they ask:

  • What can the University fix?
  • Where does the University fall short?
  • How can the University do better?

    • The answers to these questions often lead to the implementation of new (or enhancement of existing) services, activities, and opportunities that are embraced across the University -- from Freshman Seminars and Faculty Advising to the College Student Inventory (CSI) and evaluation of the registration process.
