Biography:

I came to Gannon because of the Catholic University setting; I have been in Catholic schools since the first grade and I wanted to continue that Catholic school education. I also came to Gannon because of the small class sizes as well as the size of Erie itself. Being from a small town, I wanted to go to a bigger city, and to a somewhat bigger school. I was able to find those specific sizes in Gannon and Erie.

What surprised you most about Gannon?
What surprised me the most about Gannon was how willing people are to help you -- from the admissions office, to the teachers, to the librarians, to the staff at the recreational center.

What is your favorite thing about Gannon?
What surprised me the most about Gannon is how easy it was to adjust to a college after high school. I believe that the first several days at Gannon (PreviewGU) is a good way for all of the students to break the ice as well get to know where all of the classes are.

What is the biggest difference between high school and college?
The biggest difference between high school and college, that I have found, is the work load. In high school there are times that you are able to pass classes without taking homework home, but in college you have to study and put forth an effort to succeed in classes.

If you could give prospective students one piece of advice, what would it be?When you come to college the best thing to do is to continue an activity that you enjoyed and participated in high school. This is a good way to adjust because when you are bored and you don't know what to do then you can go participate in that activity.

What activities are you involved in at Gannon?I am involved with several of the Intramural sports (Basketball and Volleyball). I also spend a lot of time at the rec center when I can.
