Fall Open House Nov. 8
Full day of informational presentations and exciting activities await students and parents
Prospective students and their families are welcome to attend Gannon University’s annual Fall Open House, to be held Sunday, Nov. 8.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m. in the lobby of the University’s Waldron Campus Center, 124 West 7th St. Also at 11 a.m., an optional mass will be held in the University’s Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, 520 Peach St.
The full schedule for the day:
• At 10 a.m., Scholarship Contests will be offered in (building and room locations in parentheses) English (Beyer Hall, 628 Peach St., room 210), Spanish and German (Beyer Hall, room 212), French (Beyer Hall, room 213), Biology (Beyer Hall, rooms 214 and 215), Chemistry (Zurn Science Center, 143 West 7th St., room 101), Engineering (Zurn Science Center, room 146), and Education (Beyer Hall, room 209).
• From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students and parents will be able to meet with representatives from the University’s office of Student Development in the Yehl Room of the Waldron Center, and with Gannon faculty members in the Hammermill Center, corner of Peach Street and South Park Row.
• At 12:30 p.m., campus and trolley tours of downtown Erie will be available.
• At 1 p.m., Gannon President Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D., will offer welcoming remarks in the Hammermill Center.
• From 1:30-3:30 p.m., coaches from the University’s intercollegiate athletic teams will be available in the Yehl Room of the Waldron Center.
• From 1:30-4 p.m., students with qualifying SAT/ACT scores and grade point averages can participate in an On-Site Admissions process. Students can meet individually with a member of the Admissions Office to receive an immediate decision on their application.
• At 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., students and parents can attend academic presentations in the Zurn Science Center, the Palumbo Academic Center, 824 Peach St., and the Robert H. Morosky Academic Center, 150 West 10th St.
• At 3:15 p.m., an admissions and financial aid presentation will be offered in room 219 of the Waldron Center.
