International Admissions

 

THE FAMILY EDUCATION RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT of 1974 (FERPA)
This act protects the privacy of all students studying at institutions to which funds have been made available. FERPA prohibits Gannon University from releasing your personal information, including Admission status, to anyone that you do not give the University written permission to do so.

Submit the Following Items:
  • Gannon University's International Admissions Application
    Download a copy of the form. (Requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software to print and view.)
  • Non-refundable application fee of $25.00 drawn on a  prime U.S. bank or international money order made payable to "Gannon University". To pay by credit card complete the appropriate area on Gannon's International Admissions application.
  • Applicants must request that official copies of academic records from each college/university attended, accompanied by official English translations, be forwarded to the Admissions Office.
  • Three letters of recommendation must be forwarded for all degree-seeking applicants. Letters should be submitted by individuals who are familiar with the student's academic and professional background.
  • Please refer to your program's Fact Sheet to determine if a graduate entrance exam (i.e. GRE, GMAT, or MAT) is required. Official test report of scores must be submitted by all degree-seeking students. Non-degree students are not required to submit test scores.
  • Submit official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores or other evidence of English proficiency if native language is not English.  A minimum score of 550 (paper test) or 213 (computer test) or 79(iBT) is required for admissions consideration.  We also accept L.I.F.E. program level 12, ELS Language Center level 109, and a minimum IELTS band score of 6.0 in lieu of TOEFL.

    Additional Program Specific Requirements

  • Applicants for the Master of Science in Community Counseling must submit a 250 word essay explaining why they chose the Community Counseling program and what they intend to do with the degree; complete an interview with the director of the program. A phone interview may be scheduled by calling Dr. David Tobin at (814)871-7537. Application deadlines are July 20 for fall semester, December 15 for spring semester, and April 15 for summer.

  • Applicants to the Nurse Anesthetist program must contact K. Stephen Anderson, M.Ed., CRNA at (814)877-2137 for an application to the Hamot Medical Center of Anesthesia. Enrollment is limited.

  • Applicants to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program must contact the Office of Graduate Studies graduate@gannon.edu for a Physical Therapy application packet or download the DPT Application. Do not use the international application.  

All transcripts, credentials, and documents become the property of Gannon University and cannot be returned or forwarded to a third party.
