    Career Development and Employment Services offers a variety of dynamic programs designed to prepare motivated students for the future. Individual and group programs enable students to develop academic abilities, as well as identify, research and explore career interests, experiential education opportunities and employment options. Students are empowered to make informed life-decisions throughout college and beyond.

    Career Planning

    Deciding what college major to choose or what career path to pursue can be a difficult, and at times, a seemingly impossible process. To facilitate the decision-making process we provide:

    • Individual Counseling- Opportunity to discuss interests, goals, and college major and career options. Interest testing is available. 
    • Job Boards - Hundreds of career related links, job-banks, and postings. A great resource from any location providing internet access.
    • Career Resource Library- An on-site career library maintained for college major and occupation information. 
    • Alumni Career Network- Referrals to Gannon alumni who have volunteered to provide career or employment information to current students. 
    • Career Road Shows- Useful workshops on career development and job search topics presented to classes and student organizations. 

    Graduate and Professional School Information

    Annually, 40-44% of Gannon graduates shape their career directions by attending professional or graduate schools. Career Development assists by providing:
