Ashraf Zawaideh Named Associate Vice President for International Enrollment and Affairs at Gannon University

Zawaideh as associate vice president for international enrollment
and affairs.
In this newly created position, Zawaideh will lead and
coordinate a multi-departmental effort to attract, enroll, retain
and serve international students and scholars for both degree and
non-degree programs. International students represent about 10
percent of Gannon University's total enrollment.
Zawaideh comes to Gannon from the University of New Haven
(Conn.) where he was the director of international recruitment and
government sponsored programs. In that position, he recruited the
largest number of newly enrolled international students in UNH's
history. Through his relationships with international constituents
and government officials in Washington, D.C., the Middle East,
Europe and Asia, UNH enrolled more than 250 full-time international
students.
Before coming to UNH, he was founding president of Zawaideh
International Educational Services and held several positions at
Quinnipiac University and the University of Bridgeport, where he
received a Master of Science degree in counseling and human
resources development. Zawaideh also holds a Master of Science
degree in labor relations from the University of New Haven and a
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration degree from
the University of Jordan, Amman.
