Gannon University Rises (Early) to the Challenge

Posted: October 25, 2016

Gannon University is up for any challenge-even if it means being up before dawn. That's the plan as the early-morning Knights take on WQLN's Collegiate Challenge beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The WQLN Collegiate Challenge comes to the Waldron Campus Center to build support for public broadcasting's radio and television affiliate in northwest Pennsylvania. Gannon University supporters of WQLN can pledge online at wqln.org, call in their support by calling 814-866-5454 or pledge in person in the Waldron Piano Lounge between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Challenge is a friendly competition to raise the most funds and enroll the most members among the alumni and friends of the colleges and universities in WQLN's service area: Gannon University, Allegheny College, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Penn State Erie - The Behrend College and the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.

Gannon University is a Catholic, diocesan university with campuses in Erie, Pa. and Ruskin, Fla. offering online and traditional associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs to more than 4,000 academically talented and diverse students.

Gannon University is dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. Inspired by the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, the University offers a comprehensive, values-centered learning experience that emphasizes faith, leadership, inclusiveness and social responsibility.
