CAMP GANNON: Learning That Lasts A Lifetime

From shooting a basketball to Shakespeare, analyzing forensic
evidence to analyzing soccer defenses or water quality on Presque
Isle Bay, Camp Gannon makes summer learning fun, easy and more
convenient than ever.
Learning has always been part of summers at Gannon University.
Camp Gannon is a one-stop-shop of exciting and rewarding summer
activities for ages 7-18.
Offerings at Camp Gannon include the popular summer camps that
teach skills on the individual and team levels to eager young
athletes who are hungry to improve. Rigorous summer academic
programs are also offered, such as the Regional Summer School of
Excellence, at which invited students can learn aboard the
Environaut, Gannon University's 53-foot research vessel. Budding
actors can commune with the Bard at the ShakeXperience and aspiring
journalists can fine-tune their skills.
Camps are conducted in Gannon's exceptional learning
environments, including the newly opened School of Communication
and the Arts, the innovative Forensic Investigation Center and the
Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

July 13-17 (ages 7-15)
Gannon men's basketball head coach John T. Reilly, the NCAA
Division II Atlantic Region Coach of the Year and the winningest
coach in Gannon University men's basketball history headlines the
staff for this premier summer basketball camp. Reilly and
student-athletes from his Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
championship team will teach skill development.
July 26-31 (ages 15-18)
Engage in the world of criminal investigation while learning from
former FBI, CIA and ATF special agents in Gannon's Forensic
Investigation Center at this overnight residence camp.
Girls Basketball Elite Position Camp
July 31-August 1 (ages 11-18)
This camp will focus on advanced-level skill development for both
guard positions and post players.
Girls Basketball Individual Camp
June 15-18 and July 27-30 (ages 8-17)
Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball,
including shooting, passing, rebounding, dribbling and defense.
Girls Basketball Shooting Camp
June 22-25 (ages 11-18)
In this shooting-specific camp, campers receive individual
attention focused on basic concepts and techniques.
Girls Basketball Team Shootout
June 19-21, (ages 12-18)
This shootout camp for middle school and high school teams offers
four sessions, which will focus on team skills. Each team can
compete in either single or multiple sessions.
Girls Volleyball All-Skills
July 20-23 (ages 12-18)
Campers receive comprehensive training with an emphasis on passing,
setting, serving, attacking, blocking and defense in special
sessions, and compete in 6 vs. 6 team play. Overnight residence and
day camp options are available.
Health Professions And Sciences
July 20-24 (ages 14-17)
Gain hands-on experience at this overnight residence camp in
Gannon's new Human Performance Laboratory and Patient Simulation
Center, and obtain CPR certification as well as first-hand
knowledge of professions in the field.
High School Journalism Workshop
July 27-31 (ages 15-18)
Get a sneak-peek into the world of journalism with an emphasis on
news and feature writing while learning from an expert with more
than 25 years of experience as a daily news and feature
July 20-25 (ages 16-18)
Theater lovers attending this overnight residence camp focus on the
greatest playwright of all time, William Shakespeare, while
creating their own production and sharing their work with family
and friends through a final performance.
June 22-26 (ages 6-14)
Boys and girls of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn
from Gannon's experienced coaching staff and student-athletes while
focusing on skill refinement and enhancement. Full-day and half-day
options are available.
Soccer - College ID
June 28-30 (ages 15-18)
High school boys and girls interested in playing soccer at the
collegiate level have the opportunity to participate in competitive
training sessions and game play as well as receive information
about the college recruitment process. Day camp and overnight
residence options are available.
High School Team Soccer
July 12-15 (ages 15-18)
Learn from Gannon's coaching staff and student-athletes at the
University's first soccer camp offered to high school teams for
both boys and girls.
Regional Summer School Of Excellence
July 6-17 (ages 16-18)
Learn about investigating and researching environmental health
issues during this two-week long program.
Young Writers' Workshop
July 13-17 and August 10-14 (ages 9-18)
Develop your writing process and produce a variety of written
manuscripts to publish in your own personal collection while
receiving one-on-one instruction and peer group feedback. Campers
may elect to attend both or one of the two sessions.
June 15-18 (ages 6-12)
Young wrestlers will receive two hours of technique training each
evening and parents are welcome to attend camp
