Gannon University Hosts Knight With Scholars

Posted: February 13, 2015

Gannon University is offering high school students the opportunity to spend two days on campus to learn about academic and student life at Gannon.

The students will be at Gannon Sunday and Monday, Feb. 15-16, for the University's annual Knight with Scholars program. The students, who are participating by invitation only, will meet with faculty and administrators, attend lectures and interest sessions related to their potential academic major and have lunch with Gannon University President Keith Taylor, Ph.D.

Knight with Scholars is designed to give the students a taste of life on campus and help them learn more about the University's resources and programs. The participating students have been accepted to Gannon and have been chosen for merit-based scholarship aid.

Between 125 and 150 students are expected to arrive at Gannon Sunday, Feb. 15 and stay overnight with current Gannon students. When possible, the high school students will be paired with Gannon first-year students or sophomores who are majoring in the high school students' academic area of interest.
