Gannon University Students to Present Marketing Plan to WQLN
Posted: April 28, 2014A group of Gannon University business students who have been
researching market opportunities for WQLN Public Media, northwest
Pennsylvania's public broadcasting company will present their
findings to President/CEO Tom New and key stakeholders on April 29
at 4:15 p.m. at the Waldron Campus Center. The students in the
senior-level business policy class taught by Bruce Kibler, Ph.D.,
have been researching and analyzing community perceptions and
opinions of WQLN.
Over the course of three months, three groups of students, each
with a specific set of tasks set forth by the class leader, Emily
Carlin, designed surveys to gain insight into the potential
audience for WQLN TV and Radio as well as the opinions of the
current audience. Students also conducted research into competitors
of WQLN worked to create a new vision statement for the
broadcaster.
