The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology requires programs to collect and report data that demonstrates program effectiveness. This data includes program completion rate, credentialing examination pass rate and job placement rate.
Program Completion Rate - January 1 through December 31, 2014
This is the number of students that complete the program within 150 percent of the stated program length. The program set the benchmark at 75 percent. The program completion rate for 2014 was 81 percent. Of the 16 students who began the program, 13 students completed the program within two years.
Five-Year Credentialing Examination Pass Rate - 2010 through 2014
This is defined as the number of student graduates who pass, on first attempt, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination compared with the number of graduates who take the examination within six months of graduation. The program must document a minimum five-year average of 75 percent on first attempt. The program's credentialing examination pass rate over the past five years is 96 percent. Of the 57 graduates who took the ARRT certification exam within six months of graduation, 55 passed on the first attempt.
Job Placement Rate - 2010 through 2014
This is the number of graduates employed in the radiologic sciences compared to the number of graduates actively seeking employment in the radiologic sciences. The program must document a five-year average job placement rate of not less than 75 percent within 12 months of graduation. The program's job placement rate over the past 5 years is 84 percent. Of the 69 graduates actively seeking employment, 58 obtained employment in the radiologic sciences within 12 months of graduation.
