New students who will begin classes at Gannon University in January will be invited to attend the Spring Welcome program. This event will include lunch and an official welcome to the University designed to acknowledge the beginning of your college experience.
As part of the program, orientation materials will be distributed and discussed. This information will familiarize students with Gannon’s facilities, procedures, support services, resources and extracurricular opportunities.
Information regarding this program along with reservation materials will be mailed to new students in December.
Reasons to Attend
Spring Orientation is designed to assist students making the transition to Gannon. During the Spring Welcome and Orientation on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, you will have the following opportunities:
- Meet with the Director of New Student Services
- Be recognized as a new member of the Gannon community
- Receive information about Gannon's policies and procedures, support services, social activities, and facilities
- Meet other new students and have lunch together
- Become more familiar with Gannon
- Ask any questions that you have before classes begin
Registration
- Registration materials will be mailed in early December.
- A reservation form must be completed and returned to the New Student Services Office.
- There is no fee for this program; however, advanced registration is required.

Upon your Arrival
All participants should check between 10:30-11:00 a.m. in Room 219 located on the second floor of the Waldron Campus Center.

Do I have to attend orientation?
Gannon strongly encourages students to attend the Spring Welcome and Orientation program. Participation in this program will familiarize you with some of the staff and services available at Gannon. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet other new students.
Can I bring a guest to orientation?
This program is designed for new students only and advanced registration is required.
How long is the orientation program?
The Spring Welcome and Orientation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
What is the cost for orientation?
There is no fee for this program. A complimentary lunch will be provided for all participants.
