Recent Gannon philosophy graduates have attended graduate programs at schools such as St. Mary’s in Baltimore, West Chester University, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and the American College in Rome.
Job placement and graduate school acceptance rates for Gannon philosophy graduates is 100 percent.
Major Facts
Recently, the Chronicle of Higher Education reported philosophy majors on average did significantly better on the standardized tests that are used as a basis for admission to law schools, graduate colleges of management, business administration and more.
About the Program
The philosophy program is housed in the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, providing opportunities for students to interact with students in many other disciplines.
Gannon’s philosophy faculty is affiliated with the American Philosophical Association, International Berkeley Society, American Maritain Association and the American Catholic Philosophical Association.
Students at Gannon may also choose to minor in philosophy to complement their major field of study.
Through Gannon’s graduate programs, philosophy majors can further their education in a number of disciplines including business administration (MBA) and pastoral studies.
