About the Program
The program received its last full 10-year re-accreditation in March of 2012 from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC, www.coarc.com).
Professors in the respiratory care program are dynamic, experienced scholars who are student focused. Program faculty bring a wealth of diversity and experience in the field of respiratory care to the program.
Students in the program become members of the Gannon University Student Respiratory Care Society (GUSRCS). This organization provides opportunities for students to become involved in community service and allows them to participate in such activities as asthma camps, health fairs, smoking cessation and CPR instruction.
The program added a polysomnography option available to graduates of a CoARC accredited associate or bachelors degree program. The Polysomnography option just received its initial accreditation from CoARC (www.coarc.com).
