GU Undergraduate Requirements

SAT total of 1170 or higher in critical reading and math or ACT composite score of 26 or higher.
GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Essay or personal statement is strongly recommended
Additional evidence of scholarly and extracurricular activities
Provide at least two letters of recommendation
Completion of a signed release form (provided after acceptance)
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency

LECOM School of Pharmacy Admissions Process

Students applying to one of these programs are encouraged to apply by the November 1st deadline. Competitive and eligible applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first- serve basis until all 10 seats are filled. Students who apply by this deadline will be given first consideration. Full admission will not be granted until all requirements listed below have been satisfied. Once offered acceptance, students will have two weeks to pay the enrollment deposit to reserve their space in the program. If the deadline passes without a deposit, the space will be offered to another student.

In addition, students who wish to be considered for the LECOM School of Pharmacy affiliation program with Gannon University must:

Complete the online enrollment form available on the LECOM website (www.lecom.edu; search for “Undergraduate Affiliates”)
List Gannon University as one of the top three schools you are interested in attending on the LECOM enrollment form
Successfully interview and obtain a provisional letter of acceptance from LECOM
Successfully apply to and be admitted to one of Gannon University’s LECOM Early Acceptance Pharmacy Programs.

Admissions Process to LECOM School of Pharmacy

A maximum of ten (10) students from LECOM pre-pharmacy programs will matriculate at LECOM if they have fulfilled the following requirements:

Successful completion of the undergraduate professional curriculum at Gannon University
Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher in all courses
Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher in science and mathematics courses with no grades lower than a “C”
Students in these programs cannot retake courses in which they have earned a “D” or “F” grade and remain in a conditionally guaranteed seat
Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher every semester while enrolled at Gannon
LECOM will not accept pass/fail for any pre-requisite courses
Advanced Placement (AP) courses cannot be used to complete any of the science course requirements of the program
Students cannot complete any required courses during the summer without prior approval
Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to the pharmacy profession
Successful completion of the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) no later than January of the year the student plans to matriculate at LECOM School of Pharmacy
Submit a completed PHARMCAS application to LECOM School of Pharmacy no later than January 1 of the year
Submit official transcript(s) reflecting all college credit received as an undergraduate
Submit two letters of recommendation through the PHARMCAS application. One of these letters MUST be from the pre-pharmacy selection committee at Gannon University. The second letter is recommended to be from a licensed pharmacist
Successful completion of a criminal background check
Students must meet and agree to LECOM’s Health and Technical Standards
LECOM does not allow transfer students into this program
Once enrolled in Phase I of this program at Gannon University, students cannot apply to any other school of pharmacy

a student plans to matriculate at LECOM School of Pharmacy
