GU Undergraduate Requirements
- SAT total of 1100 or higher in critical reading and
math or ACT composite score of 24 or higher
- GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Class rank in top 25%
- Strong background in college-prep courses
- Provide three letters of recommendation
- Essay or personal statement is strongly recommended
- Preference will be given to students showing evidence
of leadership potential, community service and
co-curricular activities
Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy Admissions Process
Students applying to this program are encouraged to apply by
the November 1st deadline for early consideration. All eligible
applicants for this program will be placed in a pool from which
the top four students are chosen. Once offered acceptance,
students will have two weeks to pay the enrollment deposit to reserve their space in the program. If the deadline passes
without a deposit, the space will be offered to another student.
Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy will admit up
to four Gannon University students who meet the criteria listed
below. At the discretion of Duquesne, more than four students
may be admitted. Upon meeting these requirements, students
will not compete with other students for their reserved seat in Duquesne University’s Mylan School of Pharmacy. Students
participating in this program are not eligible to apply to any
other pharmacy school.
- Completion of two year undergraduate curriculum
at Gannon University
- GPA of 3.50 or higher in Gannon undergraduate
courses with no grade lower than a “C”
- GPA of 3.50 or higher for science and mathematics
courses with no grade lower than a “C”
- Recommendation of the Gannon University
pre-pharmacy selection committee
- Evidence of leadership potential and commitment
to the pharmacy profession
- Completion of a successful interview with Duquesne
University
- Completion of the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT)
with a scaled score of 375 or higher on each section of the
exam
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
