Gannon University | Internships and Work Programs

Students are strongly encouraged to shadow pharmacists prior to applying to Pharmacy School. Many schools require this experience to apply. This is particularly important for two year applicants to ensure the student has a firm understanding of the profession, its demands, the depth of career opportunities, patient interaction skills, and understanding privacy rights of patients.
Many of our students independently acquire paid opportunities to work as a pharmacy technician at retail pharmacies. Other students shadow several pharmacists prior to applying.
