GU Undergraduate Requirements
- SAT total of 1100 or higher in critical reading and math or
ACT composite score of 24 or higher
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Class rank in the top 25%
- Additional evidence of scholarly and extracurricular activities
Provide at least two letters of recommendation
GU-University of Charleston School of Pharmacy Admissions Process
Students applying to this program are encouraged to apply by
the November 1st deadline for early consideration. All eligible
applicants will be placed into separate pools from which the
top five students will be chosen for each program. Once offered
acceptance, students will have two weeks to pay the enrollment
deposit to reserve their space in the program. If the deadline
passes without a deposit, the space will be offered to another
student.
University of Charleston School of Pharmacy Requirements
University of Charleston School of Pharmacy will admit up to
five Gannon University students who meet the criteria listed
below from each program. At the discretion of University of
Charleston, more than five students may be admitted. This
program provides a conditionally guaranteed seat, which means
if the student meets all requirements below at the time of
application they will be accepted.
- Successful completion of the pre-pharmacy curriculum
at Gannon University
- Minimum GPA of 3.25 in pre-pharmacy curriculum
with no grades lower than a “C”
- GPA of 3.25 or higher for science and mathematics courses
- Submit two letters of recommendation. One of these letters
MUST be from the pre-pharmacy committee at Gannon
University and the other from a pharmacist.
- Demonstrate experience in community/campus activism
- Submit a completed application for admission to the
University of Charleston School of Pharmacy
- Students in this program cannot retake courses in which
they have earned a “D” or “F” grade and remain in a
conditionally guaranteed spot
- Score above the 65th percentile on the Pharmacy College
Admission Test (PCAT) with an appropriate score on the
writing sample
- Successfully interview with the University of Charleston
School of Pharmacy faculty
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Abide by all application guidelines posted on the
University of Charleston School of Pharmacy Web
site (pharmacy.ucwv.edu)
