Gannon Internal and Early-Admission Candidates
Those individuals who wish to be considered for early admission will be
considered according to the following guidelines. Students are required to
submit the Graduate Admission Application by January 15 of their junior year;
they will be notified of admissions decisions by March 15th of their
junior year. Students who meet early entry admission requirements will be provisionally accepted and will need to
meet full acceptance requirements upon review of the spring transcript of the
junior year. Students whose overall or prerequisite GPA falls below 3.0 at the
conclusion of the spring, while not eligible to take graduate level courses during
the senior year, may reapply for regular admission to the program during the
senior year. Accepted students will be
eligible to take 500-level courses in the senior year as undergraduate students
if they possess the following pre-requisite qualifications:
- Cumulative
GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.0 in prerequisite coursework.

- SPRT360/361: Kinesiology with Lab
- SPRT390/391: Exercise Physiology with Lab

External Candidates and Gannon Non-Early Admission Candidates
Individuals will apply by January 15 of the year of entry and will be
considered for enrollment if they possess the following qualifications:
- Submit
official transcripts showing an undergraduate degree in exercise science,
kinesiology, human performance, sports medicine or related field.
- Minimum
2.75 overall GPA and minimum 2.75 prerequisite GPA
- Successful
completion of undergraduate level coursework in the following courses,
achieving a minimum grade of ‘C’ in each.
- Nutrition
(1 course)
- Exercise
Physiology (1 course with lab)
- Human
Anatomy and Physiology (2 courses with Labs)
- Psychology
(2 courses)
- Kinesiology
or Biomechanics (1 course with Lab)
