Supply Chain Management

    • The demand for business professionals with specialized skills in supply chain management is expected to increase as businesses focus on efficient fulfillment of demand, driving outstanding customer value, enhancing organizational responsiveness, building network resiliency and facilitating financial success.  
    • Students have the opportunity to work on real-world supply chain management projects alongside entrepreneurs and business professionals through Gannon University’s Small Business Development Center and Erie Technology Incubator.   

    You Will Learn

    Managing a firm’s supply chain requires planning operations in conjunction with its suppliers’ and customers’ operations. The supply chain management program gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in inventory management, transportation management, enterprise resource planning and procurement. Supply chain management students utilize state-of-the-art technology and SAP® software, enabling students to apply the concepts of supply chain management to real-world projects.

    You Will Experience

    Students will experience an innovative education in the Center for Business Ingenuity, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and global software through the SAP® University Alliances program. Students will receive hands-on opportunities through internships and service-learning projects with local and national businesses, as well as through the unique collaboration between Gannon University’s Dahlkemper School of Business, Small Business Development Center and Erie Technology Incubator.

    You will Study

    Students obtaining a degree in business administration are able to choose from 10 concentrations to prepare for a career in the field of their choice. Students also have the opportunity to complete the Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Administration degree with one additional year of study through the five-year MBA/MPA program.  

    The Dahlkemper School of Business offers innovative courses to prepare students to become business leaders in the global economy. Three of the many course selections are:  

    BCOR 240: Marketing in the Global Environment  

    Students in this course will learn the process of creating and presenting a marketing plan by applying the strategic decisions of marketing, including capturing marketing insights, connecting with customers, shaping market offerings, delivering customer value and successfully growing the business enterprise.  

    ENTR 310: Organizational Innovation  

    An examination of where entrepreneurs get their ideas and discover different types of entrepreneurial opportunities will be studied. This course focuses on understanding the process of idea generation, idea evaluation and developing a comprehensive business plan.  

    BCOR 485: Global Policy and Strategy   

    As a project-based course, Global Policy and Strategy requires students to integrate analytical skills by analyzing business opportunities and challenges to make more effective business decisions.  

    Liberal Studies Core

    The Liberal Studies Core Curriculum is one reflection of Gannon University's commitment to its Catholic identity. The Core's design offers students a defined, integrated, shared experience as the foundation for their undergraduate program.
