About the Program
Advertising communications is housed in the School of Business. As part of the business department, students will take core business classes that will better prepare them for the real world. These business basics (finance, accounting and more) will help students better understand the business pressures of their clients and prepare them to someday start, and run, their own business.
Students in the advertising communications program interact with students and professors in the fields of accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, management, marketing, risk management and insurance, and sports management and marketing.
The Dahlkemper School of Business Administration at Gannon has received accreditation from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), making Gannon the first business school in northwestern Pennsylvania with both undergraduate and graduate programs that are nationally accredited.
All Gannon business students have the opportunity to participate in many professional business organizations, including: the Gannon Accounting Club, Student Investment Trust, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, Gannon Advertising Club and the American Marketing Association.
